The Greens see their opportunity in the capital Berlin: They are catching up in the direction of the SPD.

The CDU is in third place.

Several tripartite alliances would be possible.

Berlin - A week before the Berlin House of Representatives election, the SPD's lead over the Greens in the capital has melted to one percentage point in a survey.

In the survey published by the research group Elections for ZDF on September 17, the party of top candidate Franziska Giffey came to 21 percent.

The Greens followed directly behind with 20 percent.

This enabled the party with its top candidate Bettina Jarasch to gain significantly: In two surveys from August, the Greens had seen between 17 and 18 percent.

The SPD, on the other hand, deteriorated slightly; in older surveys it was located at 22 to 23 percent.

CDU behind the SPD and the Greens - Red-Green-Red again with a majority in the ZDF poll

The CDU with its top candidate Kai Wegner took third place in the current ZDF survey by the “Politbarometer” with 17 percent.

In previous polls, the party had ranged between 16 and 19 percent.

The left now followed with twelve percent - after twelve to 15 percent previously.

The AfD deteriorated after eleven to twelve percent to nine percent.

The FDP followed after eight to nine percent, now with eight percent.

A red-green-red alliance would have a majority, but other three-way alliances would also be mathematically possible.

However, none of the three-party alliances submitted for evaluation met with a majority approval of the respondents.

Polls also show a lack of enthusiasm for the coalition models for the federal elections.

Giffey had to contend with plagiarism allegations this year.
