Fifteen schools and one college have also had to close their doors entirely, two weeks after the start of the school year.

Two weeks after the start of the school year, the Ministry of National Education resumes its good habits by publishing, from this Friday, a weekly health situation update in schools.

First lesson of this Friday, September 17: 3,299 classes out of the 527,200 in the country - or 0.63% - are currently closed due to Covid-19.

355 classes are thus closed in the Academy of Versailles, 252 in that of Aix-Marseille, 246 in that of Créteil ... On September 13, Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer announced in

As a reminder, according to level 2 of the health protocol currently in force in mainland France, first-degree classes must close in the first proven case of coronavirus.

The ministry also specifies that the decision to close a whole second-degree class depends on

"the opinion of the health authorities"

.

The usual rule for the second degree is in theory to isolate the positive pupil as well as the pupils considered to be in contact and not vaccinated, while the rest of the class continues to go to class normally.

No data on saliva tests

Beyond the classes, 16 school structures - 15 schools and a college - had to close their doors, specifies the ministry.

These establishments are located in the academies of Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Paris, Versailles, Nantes, Orléans-Tours, Poitiers, Besançon, Lyon, Grenoble, Montpellier, Martinique and Guyana.

In addition, over the last seven days, 9,478 students (out of 12,223,000, or 0.08%) and 439 staff (out of 1,201,500, or 0.037%) have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Le Figaro

has been reporting - have offered to their students over the age of twelve a

"vaccination course".

Nothing on the other hand on saliva tests, at the risk of disappointing Guislaine David, the general secretary of the SNUipp-FSU union, who told

Figaro

at the beginning of the week to wait for this information firmly.

"Saliva tests gradually resuming in primary schools, this data will be indicated soon,"

promises the ministry.
