Covid-19: these territories where the health situation is improving

2021-09-17T09:12:34.013Z

Emmanuel Macron welcomed the "results" of the health pass on September 16 and considered lifting "certain constraints as soon as sanitary conditions allow".

Emmanuel Macron wanted to be optimistic.

"

As soon as the sanitary conditions allow it and, in my opinion, when I see the figures, it will not come so late

", the government could "

allow itself in the territories where the virus circulates less quickly to lift certain constraints and to live again normally

”, he rejoiced on September 16 during the Meetings of the Union of local businesses (U2P).

The Head of State assured to be ready to "

lift the pass, in the places where it is put, where the virus is hardly circulating

".

some 3000 suspensions

" of unvaccinated personnel

At our RTL colleagues, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran confirmed that the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in France "

has improved considerably

".

Adding that if "

this dynamic

" continues, "

we can start to consider easing certain measures

".

The health situation is improving

Three pieces of good news follow one another to hope for an improvement.

The first, as Olivier Véran reminds us, there are "

less than 2000 patients in intensive care

", a declining number.

The second, the incidence rate fell back below 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants at the national level, a first since July.

It is even below the alert threshold of 50 in 31 departments.

The last, finally, the symbolic milestone of 50 million French people vaccinated, or about 75%, should be reached during the day.

There are still some 10,000 contaminations per day, the epidemic is not over.

On the other hand, we are on a rate of reduction of at least 30% in one week

”, specified the Minister of Health.

The map speaks for itself.

Almost all of the departments have an incidence rate of less than 100, some below the alert threshold of 50 such as Vendée, Lozère, Basse-Normandie, Aisne, Somme, Nièvre, Saône- et-Loire, as well as Creuse and Corrèze.

These departments could therefore be affected by a possible lifting of health measures.

The decline in the epidemic in certain territories is also illustrated by the drop in the incidence rate over the past week.

48.2% in Tarn-et-Garonne, 44.9% in Guadeloupe, 40.5% in Côtes d'Armor or 37.6% in Vendée and 35.4% in Calvados.

The figures for large metropolises are less spectacular but also attest to a drop.

27.6% in Paris, 13.6% in Lille, 19.4% in Nantes, 34.4% in Toulouse and 31% in Marseille.

However, the incidence rate remains high in the south-east of France, in the Bouches-du-Rhône (325), the Alpes-Maritimes (159) or the Gard (149), as well as in the overseas departments. Tom with a Guyana record of 421.

Finally, the Paris region has an average rate of 100. If the government decides to lift the restrictions in the territories where the incidence rate is the lowest, they should logically, unless the health situation changes, be the last concerned. .
