Federal police stop trio without papers in Mittenwald

On the regional train, which runs regularly from Innsbruck to Munich, three train passengers were unable to show the federal police officers any documents for their planned stay in the Federal Republic. They said they came from Syria and were on their way to see relatives in Berlin. Because of the suspicion of unauthorized entry, they had to interrupt their trip and were taken to the federal police station in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. There the identity of the 13, 23 and 28 year old Syrians should be checked. But the elder resisted the measures, braced himself against the officials and even tried to evade them.

The 28-year-old is expected to be responsible not only for his illegal entry attempt, but also for resisting law enforcement officers. The notified public prosecutor ordered that he has to deposit 250 euros as security for the upcoming criminal proceedings. "Relieved" by this amount, the man was sent back to Austria. His two companions made a request for protection. The 23-year-old Syrian was sent to a reception center for refugees after the police measures were over.
