It is embarrassing that an independent cabinet appointed by the World Bank claims that China has been given unfair preferential treatment to improve its ranking in a report on the business climate in countries around the world.
The situation becomes even more delicate when it directly involves the person who has since become Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva.

The latter, at the IMF for nearly two years, was previously Managing Director of the World Bank, then chaired by Jim Yong Kim.
