The refurbished clubhouse of the Veiglbergler Neufahrn has turned out to be really beautiful.
The Trachtler put 2000 working hours into it - and quite a bit of money.

- Did Corona also have something good? The board of directors of Veiglbergler Neufahrn, Sepp Müller (32), can appreciate the idea. “At least we were able to renovate our clubhouse in peace,” he says. Without any time pressure, the Trachtler completely renovated the house on Kapellenweg, which also houses the kindergarten. The coming Sunday, September 19th, is the day of the traditional costume year, when the club members can take a look at the results.
The house that belongs to the community has already been renovated on a large scale. That was in 1979. Until then, the Veiglberglers - named after Neufahrn's local mountain - had only held their Trachtler rehearsals in the attic. Now they had the chance to use the empty ground floor for their own purposes. At that time there were 2000 volunteer hours under the management board Georg Schmid. Now, under Executive Board member Sepp Müller, you get exactly the same number.
There is one important difference, however.
At that time, the association had to bear all the costs.
This time the community has taken over a large part.
The municipality subsidized 80 percent of the 100,000 euros required.
"We are really very grateful for that," said Müller.
The Trachtler raised the remaining 20,000 euros themselves, 16,000 euros thanks to generous donations and 4,000 euros through equity.
The basic rule was that the community financed all permanently installed parts, the Trachtler itself the inventory, such as the new chairs.
The only exception: the tavern and the new cupboards worth 14,000 euros.

70 volunteers volunteered help from the decision on the renovation on May 13, 2020 to the lifting on September 4, 2021.
“We operated practically all trades ourselves,” says Müller.
“It was really nice work.
Hats off to my people. ”The result is impressive: thanks to a breakthrough in the back, there is now space for 140 visitors, the toilets have been completely refurbished, and underfloor heating has also been installed.

Next Sunday is now the traditional costume year. The church begins at ten o'clock, after which Father Adrianus blesses the renovated clubhouse. In addition, the meeting from last year will be rescheduled, with 16 honors and six new admissions. The board asks that the general hygiene rules be observed. As usual, 3G applies. But the Trachtler's plans are already directed towards the future. From October, the parlor is to open for the whole village every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. “There are sausages, pizza and of course Holzkirchen beer,” says Müller. "Just sit tightly together."
