Israeli Arabs have proved: coexistence is still here Israel today

2021-09-17T06:21:44.274Z

In the moment of truth of the escape of the six prisoners - the Arab residents of Israel in the Galilee chose a side. And this is a certificate of excellence

Just when I was about to make generalizations again, I was pleasantly surprised.

Arab civilians withheld assistance from the terrorists who escaped from prison, and the unfortunate Zechariah did not even receive from them a sword of sword to break his hunger.

Instead, Arab citizens called police and reported the fugitives.

Certificate of Excellence.

It turns out again that the picture is more complex than it appears.

On the one hand, Lod is setting up a square in honor of "Shahid" who died in the recent riots, in Acre marching for the release of murderous pogroms, and Arab Knesset members, led by Ahmad Tibi and Ayman Odeh, allow themselves to release statements the government would not depend on.

Their open support for terrorism crosses all the borders that have ever been practiced here, and once again emphasizes the sad reality, in which the Israeli representatives are sitting upright in the House of Representatives, as if MK Ben Gvir were sitting in the Majles of Iran.

On the other hand, in the moment of truth - and this was a moment of truth - the Arab residents of Israel in the Galilee chose a side.

It is not certain that if the six Fantastic ones had come to Lod they would not have received hiding and food, it is not certain that if they had landed in the Bedouin diaspora in the Negev they would not have received weapons and a stolen ATV.

But there, at the foot of the Tabor, with all the problems that the Arab locals also sometimes cause, a decision was made.

Maybe afraid, or useful, but maybe belonging to Israel has increased.

And this is great news, because since the last bloody events I have been living with the feeling that we are before a great war, a war that will start again with an external flare-up, and ignite relations within the country a hundred times more than it was last time - because the fear barrier is broken.

It is clear to me personally that the weapons stored in the basements of houses, olive groves, garages and warehouses of the criminals of the sector will soon be directed at us.

In my imagination I see news clips where combat helicopters are called to deal with rioters at intersections, after the police have not arrived at the scene.

But it is possible that a thousand criminal organizations, and a hundred thousand firearms, and who knows how many MKs-terrorists, will not change the understanding of the Israeli Arabs, that only alongside the Jews they have life, and prosperity, and respect, and identity. Homeless refugees roaming the area are murdered and looted, like their brethren in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and wherever a pin is stuck on the map of the Middle East.

The fire of coexistence may not be completely extinguished, and with the right wind, a flame can still be ignited.

Let's just hope you don't turn on the homes of the citizens who reported to the police.

Vaccinating children will be the next war between the vaccinated and the opposing.

All the extreme emotions we have seen so far will be nothing compared to what will happen here when it is announced that it is possible to finally be vaccinated from the age of 5, and to stop living in the shadow of isolation.

In my home, for example, the school year managed to take off for only three days, before a teacher who was found to be verified entered the classroom and sent the entire class to isolation for a few frustrating days.

And I know it was just the first course.

For me, vaccinating children is self-evident, desirable and moral.

But opponents of vaccines of all kinds will take out of the arsenal the ugliest words they have never used, if any, and the most extreme behaviors, in order to stop as much as possible the vaccination of the entire population.

In my opinion, the coexistence of the vaccinated and the unvaccinated will soon become impossible.

The health care system will not be able to withstand for a long time the volume of morbidity created by the unvaccinated, the unvaccinated will continue to insist that everything is a conspiracy, and the vaccinated will no longer agree to receive type C medical service because of the burden on hospitals.

There are already countries in the world whose patience is running out, so, for example, President Biden is taking almost dictatorial steps to force the population to get vaccinated, and Australia declares that the unvaccinated will soon come out of the economic system and have to fend for themselves.

That is why I propose, in the spirit of our sacred teachings, the concept of "cities of refuge."

Originally - three cities, which were used as a hiding place for people who accidentally killed for blood revenge.

Did you kill unintentionally?

If you ran fast enough and reached the city of refuge, no one could touch you there, until the High Priest died, and then you could return home in peace.

Why not build three cities of refuge in Israel, to which vaccine opponents and their families will move?

There will be no green label, no masks, the education system will always be open, and every person will act as he sees fit, as long as he does not try to come in the general public.

In these cities, inpatient centers will be set up, staffed by non-vaccinated teams, led by the community doctor, Dr. Aryeh Avni, and will see what he knows how to do when given. I suggest Pardes Hanna, which has already taken the title of capital. The non-Jewish community also needs an Arab city to volunteer, and another settlement in the south, for desert enthusiasts.

We are not short of wars, let's just say goodbye.

We will live separately, clean separate systems of education, health, commerce and services.

Let's divorce well, before we get to Civil War.

And there is also a great song that will accompany the operation: "City of Refuge".

One lady published a post, in which she asked what appropriate punishment to give her son, who accidentally corrupted an etrog that costs 1,000 shekels.

Get up on her bride for a pious TK on a beautifying TK.

"Who pays 1,000 shekels for a lemon?" One asked.

"Buy kosher etrog for NIS 30, and give the difference to the needy," said a hundred others.

The whole matter of compiling a mitzvah bought with a lot of money also makes me a little uncomfortable.

It is clear that any considerable financial expenditure on a mitzvah that can be fulfilled even on the cheap basil is in conflict with a variety of mitzvos and other halakhic instructions, such as "and modesty go with your God."

The Creator is not impressed, as written in the book of Micah, by Mevanats who work on flesh and blood.

This etrog is not a NIS 1 million Mercedes, in which a person moves on the street of a city and makes those who consider super-brands think that the passenger himself is such a super-brand, zero glitches.

God does not confuse the price of the etrog with the soul that holds it, so at least I choose to grasp God.

Nor does he ask his believers to travel away from their homes on Israeli holidays and leave their families behind to get closer to him.

The approach is always inside the house, in the innermost circle.

This is how I imagine God.

Everyone has the freedom to believe in the Creator of his creation, without the intervention of any outsider, and to work in the way he sees fit.

And rightly so, I believe that if a person has a disposable income, it is better to donate it to someone who has no income at all, and not invest it in a symbol of religious or motor status or jewelry or fashion of any kind.

But what to do, we all feel within ourselves missing, damaged, not really worthy, and looking for impressive objects that will upgrade our appearance in the world, in front of man and in front of God.

I think that as the price of the most precious and unnecessary object a man holds, so great is the distance he feels from his soul.

So when I see a woman wearing a piece of jewelry for half a million shekels, I feel sad for her, and when I see a man in a Porsche rising like an apartment, I feel compassion for him.

How fast he travels, he will not reach his rest.

And yet, of all the exaggerators, the compilers in etrog are my favorite, because they invest in something that stays no more than a week, and its value resets immediately at the end of the holiday, and is only good for making jam.

This fruit is but a parable for human life.

When in office he is equilibrated in gold;

When his hour passes - his glory passes.

And for everyone who the media is currently challenging - watch and see, after the holiday, they will also make jam.

Do not be surprised.
