Dushanbe-Sana
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that the era of hegemony and unipolarity is over, and that the new international order is moving towards pluralism and cooperation to establish security and stability and combat terrorism.
In today's speech during the 21st session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit held in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe, Raisi explained that the world system is currently facing several crises that cannot be resolved alone, calling for concerted efforts and cooperation to solve international and regional problems.
Raisi pointed out that peace and security in the world is threatened today by terrorism and the attempt by the "authoritarians" in the world to impose their views on others through sanctions and economic terrorism, noting that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization can become a driving force for global pluralism.
Regarding the situation in Afghanistan, Raisi said that the United States and its allies bear responsibility for the situation there, expressing his country's readiness to help the Afghan people to establish peace and security.
Raisi thanked the members of the organization for accepting Iran as a permanent member.
