Landsberg - Yesterday's reading with Rolf-Jürgen Lang in the tower, the restaurant in the Bayertor, turned out to be like in a living room.

In a small, intimate group, the Hofstetten author reported how his novel “The Order 62-35” came about.

There are pieces of the mosaic that he encountered again and again in the course of his life and meticulous research that animated him to write this novel. He had been “pregnant” with the idea for this political thriller for fifteen years. The initial spark was an interview with a 90-year-old that was played into his hands in 2018. "It is a fictional story, but it is true down to the smallest detail," Lang tells his audience and uses the example of a missing Wehrmacht carbine to explain how he implemented this verifiable fact in his book.

Then he takes his audience on a journey through time through the life of his protagonist Hubert Rösler from 1945 to 2020 and he obviously succeeds in captivating the small audience.

The fact that the city of Landsberg also appears in his novel under the heading “Cafe Drechsel” increases attention in a special way.

Lang's remarks were musically accompanied by the songs of his daughter Neele, who sang about moor soldiers, the whereabouts of the flowers and free thoughts.

Particularly touching: the song of the “Edelweiss Pirates”, which impressively tells of the resistance against hatred and dictatorship.

The lecture by father and daughter was followed by a lively conversation in the restaurant of the Bayertor.
