Kaufering - After the unsuccessful start to the league last weekend, the Bundesliga floor ballers from Red Hocks Kaufering will have their home premiere against the Floor Fighters Chemnitz on Sunday, September 19th.
On the new hall floor in the Kaufering Sports Center, which was only finished this week, the Reds are betting on their audience.
The kick-off is at 4 p.m.
"With the Floor Fighters an exciting opponent is coming to us," said defender Benedikt Richardon happily. Many of the boys have been familiar faces in the U-national teams for years and have long formed the core of the young team from Saxony. Before the start of the season there was reinforcement with an experienced Bavarian who had worn the Kauferinger jersey for many years: Julian Rüger, who was last active in Switzerland and Latvia and is now starting a new chapter in his career with the Chemnitz team, will return this weekend back to his old place of work. He has already celebrated his debut, and it has been very promising for a long time: Against title co-favorite DJK Holzbüttgen, the people of Chemnitz led, but could not preventthat the team from North Rhine-Westphalia, peppered with several national players, turned the game in their favor in the final phase.
The start of the Red Hocks took a different course, at DHfK Leipzig they were now behind by four goals and were able to score one more goal in the last few minutes. But there were still no points for it. So the team of coaches around Markus Heinzelmann started working on the exposed construction sites this week and had them train a total of four times.
Now the anticipation for the first home game is huge, as it can finally be played again in front of a home crowd. "The mood of the fans can again contribute an important piece of the puzzle in terms of energy for a home win," says Benedikt Richardon. The Bundesliga game will not take place in the Landsberg sports center as originally planned, but in Kaufering as usual. This means that the newly laid floor will also do its first job at the same time. Richardon also sees the second game of the season as a signpost for the next few weeks: "Courageous demeanor, aggressiveness and efficiency in front of goal are important points in order to achieve the first home win at the weekend and hopefully inspire the fans again after the long break." Red Hocks compete with a full crew again this time,An intense game can be expected on Sunday from 4 p.m.
