After extensive searches conducted since noon in the Sea of Galilee, the body of a 30-year-old man, a resident of Yehud, was found this evening (Friday).
During the afternoon, a message was received at the Israel Police Hotline 100 from a citizen who was spending time at Khoury Beach in Tiberias that his 30-year-old son had entered the water and soon disappeared.
Immediately upon receiving the message, many forces were rushed to the scene including a naval police force, a patrol force from the local station, the police divers unit and other elements who assisted in the search for the missing person.
The forces have been searching the sea and land for many hours, and continued the search even after dark.
Volunteers from the divers' unit located the body of the missing person and later it was also identified by his family.
