The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has warned of severe consequences for refugees and forcibly displaced persons due to the lack of access to Corona vaccines, in addition to other damages resulting from their loss of livelihoods with the economic slowdown and the closure of many businesses and workplaces.

She pointed out that "the failure to adequately fund the response deepens their plight, especially after they bear the full impact of the economic repercussions of the epidemic and were often unable to access the aid decided by governments or subsidies to compensate for that impact."
