Each year, the mass distribution sector, wine merchants and online merchants offer hundreds of vintages during the ritual wine fairs that last until the beginning of October. Offers scrutinized, analyzed by all lovers of good bottles and good deals who often take the opportunity to make their annual purchases. How to navigate in this jungle? Admittedly, the advertisements of the department stores and specialized sites mention the appellation, the owner, the vintage, but a fundamental data is still missing for the potential buyer: the taste, the aromas, the length of the vintages put forward.
This is why, every year, from the beginning of June, Valérie Faust, member of the Figaro Group tasting group, tastes the bottles offered by the various shops.
Each is rated out of 100. For each brand, Valérie Faust only retains the ten wines corresponding to her ten best scores.
