Xu Shuchang also mentioned that Hong Kong is now in a dilemma. Customs clearance with the Mainland is very important to Hong Kong's economy. Beijing has not given "clear instructions", but he said that Hong Kong must maintain "zero local diagnosis" for a period of time and achieve a high vaccination rate.
On the other hand, Singapore has given up on "clearing", but Xu Shuchang said that even though the local vaccination rate has exceeded 80%, there are nearly four-digit confirmed cases every day. Describing this direction is like bold experimentation and gambling.
