The reason ?

Indeed, a study carried out by the brand has shown that the system was considered restrictive by some of the customers, more and more focused on contactless payment.

The elimination of token carts was surprisingly one of the first customer requests.

For several months, nearly 200 stores of the brand out of a fleet of 230 have already removed this system from their trolleys.

To guard against the theft of shopping carts, the unit cost of which is around 130 euros, the group has devised a new connected anti-theft system. Already being tested in some establishments, these new trolleys are fitted with a brake that communicates directly with underground cables delimiting the perimeter of the store.
