Die Linke presents its ideas on 168 pages and focuses on social policy. On the front page it is written: “Time to act! For social justice, peace and climate justice ”. Directly in the introduction, the party makes it clear: "We stand for a policy of reliability and honesty, but also of courage - we want to change." The corona crisis had brought the injustices of capitalism to light even more. Some should have feared for jobs, their children's education and health, while large corporations were able to increase their profits. The left does not want to come to terms with this: they are "ready to take on the profiteers."

The central demands of the left: taxes for the rich should go up, the poor should be relieved.

In view of the climate crisis, they are calling for climate neutrality by 2035 and are committed to the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.

Dietmar Bartsch said: “Our climate policy does not have to hide from anyone.” The party differentiates itself from the Greens with regard to social policy.

It is about climate policy, "without constantly ripping off consumers on heating, electricity or at the gas station," emphasized Bartsch.⁣

The end of all foreign missions is also central to them - the most contentious point regarding a possible coalition formation for the other parties.

They fundamentally reject foreign deployments by the Bundeswehr - including training missions or, for example, deployments with a UN peacekeeping mandate.

They also demand the dissolution of NATO.

But the SPD and the Greens as possible coalition partners are demanding a clear commitment to NATO in particular.
