Since its inception, the Police Sports Club in Homs has achieved a distinguished presence in the local and Arab championships, achieving advanced positions and winning gold, silver and bronze medals on several occasions.
In a statement to SANA, a member of the club's management, Brigadier General Muhammad Suleimanou, explained that the Homs Police Club is part of the society rich in culture, art and literature, in addition to sports that constitute an important part of it and that we are working to develop by supporting and attracting young athletes, pointing out that the club practices tennis and badminton. Gymnastics, Karate, Judo, Kwat Al-Rimy and other games, in addition to equestrianism, which is one of the sports that is unique to the Police Club historically.
Solimanou said that sport teaches us the spirit of teamwork and makes us understand the importance of working as a team and not as individuals, and this is what we need to advance the reality of sport, pointing out that there is support and care provided by the club to its players and coaches, especially those who have won first places to maintain their level and progress further to represent Syria in sports forums.
Solimano considered that sports, like any other community work, needs planning, work, effort, time and money for its success, the most important of which is the infrastructure, as the club works to secure its sports infrastructure and develop current and future strategies and ideas, adding that the club recently implemented two sports festivals, Homs Sports Homs and the Badminton Festival, which they had Positive resonance in the sports community and the community.
In turn, the managing director of the club, Abdul Hadi Bahsik, indicated that the club includes in its ranks distinguished players from the internal security forces and civilians, in addition to specialized coaches in all existing sports and participates in all tournaments that are held within the plan of the General Sports Federation, pointing out that there have been distinguished participations recently in the championship In the Kwat Al-Rami sport, we achieved first place in the general ranking, as well as first place in the Republic Championship for wrestling, and the number of gold medals achieved by our players during the current year reached 20 in wrestling, kickboxing, karate and kickboxing.
