The Asian Football Confederation has chosen international referee Shadi Tayseer Al-Shahf from Shahba Club in Sweida as part of its new project to develop promising referees.
In a statement to SANA's sports representative, Al-Shahf indicated that this choice came with the support of the Football Association and its main referees committee, and it is important for him to increase his acquired experiences and develop his level for the better.
Al-Shahf indicated that the new AFC project for the development of referees aims to inform the referee of all that is new in the amendments to the law of the game and prepare the referee mentally and physically by providing him with the latest exercises and theoretical information to be applied on the field.
It is noteworthy that Al-Shahf is a graduate of English literature from Damascus University and began arbitration about 12 years ago.
