The student night almost turned into a drama.
A police officer took all the risks and did not hesitate to take the plunge to rescue a student drowning in the Seine, in the night from Friday to Saturday in Ivry-sur-Seine (Val-de -Marl).
The young woman and two other students, also fallen in the river, in hypothermia, were evacuated by the firefighters.
Their days are not in danger.
A little before 11 p.m., a patrol from the police station, alerted to a possible fight, arrives on the Jean-Compagnon quay, near the Nelson-Mandela bridge which allows you to reach Charenton-le-Pont, on the other side of the shore.
There, more than a hundred students, quite drunk and panicked, congregate on the banks of the Seine.
The officials manage to approach and find a young woman and two men in the water.
The latter try to keep their comrade's head above the water while they are stuck between the quay and a moored barge.
“The victim would have fallen into the water during a crowd movement caused by tensions, believes Philippe Bouyssou, the mayor (PCF) of the town.
Two friends then jumped to get her out of there.

A party animal falls on the policeman in full rescue
One of the officials jumps on the barge and climbs down a ladder to assist them.
Without success.
He jumps into the water and retrieves a buoy, connected to a rope, thrown by the occupant of the barge.
He manages to pass it around her body.
At this point, the policeman and the student are violently dragged to the bottom.
Another drunk student has just run into them!

On the barge, another police official manages to bring them to the surface by pulling on the rope while the other two students climb up via the ladder. Exhausted, frozen, wedged between the quay and the boat, weighted down by his shoes and his belt, the police officer will take long minutes to bring the student up, almost unconscious after long minutes in cold water. The party animal fell on the policeman left the river in stride.
