Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
Dozens of Palestinians in the West Bank city of Jenin and the town of Kafr Kana in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 participated this evening in solidarity marches in support of the prisoners and condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation.
According to Wafa Agency, the participants in the marches raised pictures of the six prisoners who were stripped of their freedom from “Gilboa” detention camp, and banners calling for international protection for prisoners in the occupation prisons.
The participants called on the international community and human rights, humanitarian and legal organizations to urgently intervene and put pressure on the occupation to immediately release the Palestinian prisoners.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails face harsh detention conditions, including 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
