It is well known that the adventure playground at Nordgraben in Miesbach, which is in need of renovation, is to be preserved.

What is new, however, is that inclusion should be lived here in a targeted manner.

The CSU had now introduced this application to the city council and received broad support - but not from everyone.

Miesbach

- When it became known in February of this year that the adventure playground at Nordgraben in Miesbach had been closed for security reasons and had to be renovated, the political will quickly emerged that the area should be preserved for children and young people. The CSU underlined this with its motion in the city council. She suggests expanding the adventure playground into an inclusion playground. CSU spokesman Erhard Pohl put it this way: "The goal is a playground with an adventure character for really all children."

The idea was inspired by Alexandra Braunmiller, wife of Mayor Gerhard Braunmiller (CSU), who has a professional connection to the topic, as Pohl explained: "There is no such playground in Miesbach yet."

Disabled-friendly parking spaces and toilets can also be implemented there, explained Pohl and appealed to the group: "Let's implement this together."

City is examining possibilities

According to Mayor Braunmiller, there are still a few things to clarify, such as equipment, costs and funding opportunities.

In addition, you still have to find a planner and accompany the design in a joint committee.

The idea was well received by the other groups. “The approach is correct and important,” said FWG spokesman Markus Seemüller, but suggested that all playground locations in the district town should be examined to see whether they could be expanded for inclusion. Kick van Walbeek (Greens) had previously applied for this. Florian Ruml (FWG) asked, however, “nothing to postpone, otherwise nothing will work for a long time”.

There was also encouragement from the SPD, which was the first to campaign for the preservation of the adventure playground and to exclude the site as a replacement location for the ailing homeless shelter.

"You should just start and keep the other playgrounds in mind," said Paul Fertl.

“I think that's a good way to go.

This means that the homeless shelter is off the table at this point. ”Nevertheless, the shelter as a topic must also be resolved.

Fertl asked for a report to the city council as soon as possible.

Cross-political approval

All groups agreed that the development association, which built the playground and has been maintaining it since then, should be involved in the next steps.

Its second chairman, Sigi Faltlhauser, welcomed the meeting that the association was being asked for his opinion.

At the same time, he was enthusiastic about the inclusion idea: “This is the best way to get used to it.

We are happy when something moves. "

The club is no longer as efficient as it was at his wedding, but they are still ready to take on the care.

There are also donors who would like to get involved financially.

With 18: 4 votes, the city council gave the green light to start planning.

The roofed seating is to be retained, as is the cable car.

Walbeek's counter-motion to check all playgrounds first was off the table.

Michael Lechner (FWG), for whom the homeless shelter is still an issue there, was also not heard.

Third Mayor Franz Mayer (CSU) made it clear: "The political will is clear in favor of the playground."
