Kempten - Hortus Natura: A site awakens from its slumber.

“In mid-March I came across an article in the Kreisbote with the headline:“ Not far from the Bachtelweiher, a biodiversity garden is being created as part of an eco-social citizens' project ”.
That interested me straight away and I cycled to see the area.
However, it took me two attempts to find it.
But no wonder, because it was in a "deep slumber".
While “cycling around” I felt that it was somehow a special terrain, and had the feeling that there was a lot of potential in it. After the project was presented in the multigenerational house in mid-July, it was clear to me: I really want to and have to take part. In the last few weeks I was able to experience how the area is gradually being “cultivated” in a natural way. That is extremely exciting, instructive and fulfilling. To experience how one "creates" or "re-creates" something - starting from what is there - and thus gradually developing completely new living spaces.
There is now a ravine created from the “living arbor” to the “jungle” with completely new views and insights.
Like the terrain, the helpers and professionals are very different and diverse.
I like it very much.
I am definitely sticking with it and can only encourage readers to drop by, take a look and possibly join in afterwards.
It's definitely worth it! "
