Opinion | We were blessed with great little people Israel today

Most of the curses that befell us in the past year originated in the leaders, and the blessings that will come to us in 5722 will be a blessed result of the functioning of the little person

In the last hours of the world, I learned a lot about us, about me, about Israel, as I would not wait while listening to lectures in the Department of Political Science.

The purpose of these lines is to play the anthem for the "little citizen" in the country.

Small, but not tall, neither foolish in understanding nor knowingly breaking the law.

With all my senses it can be concluded, like me, that most of the curses that befell us in the past year have originated in the leaders, and the blessings that will come to us in the year 5722 will be a blessed result of the little person's functioning.

From one brief occurrence, a short time before the end of 1941, we learned that some of those who did not stand the test of the people's vote, not only enriched our lives - they even saved lives.

One of them is PA Yoni Boczkowski, a fire and rescue officer from Holon. , He will be decorated with a SLA.

Do not imagine what period but would have come down on us had it not been for his decision.

Yoni Bochkowski is a good example of the "little man", as we have called him here.

While leaders, not all, make wrong decisions, one of those “little people,” anonymous, is exposed until one moment comes in their lives and lives.

And even when the moment comes, they do not climb on stages and cameras to praise the public for their wise decision.

Buczkowski, in my opinion, joins in this act for two more, albeit figures from the fairy tales, but "little people": one, a boy in Denmark, who shouted at the king's chariot that "the king is naked!". It was a cry that came from a brave heart, for there were not many in the crowd who dared to flatter the naked king. And there was another boy, a Dutchman, also from the legends, who just with one of his fingers pierced the dam to stop a flood. He, too, made an intelligent decision, without being ordered to do so.

Buczkowski joins the world of legend, but also the world of reality. His act certainly could have been the heart of another story by Hans Christian Andersen, if only he were with us. But we needed one more cry, warning of the destruction of the Third Temple. And before the 1973 Yom Kippur War, we did not find a "little man," but a small but big man: Lieutenant Simen Tov Binyamin. He saw signs, and wrote his assessment: "Egypt and Syria are upon you Israel"! He had no reading and hearing. Thanks to the "little" people. And the "big ones" must, but must, listen to them.
