The Federal Minister of Transport is now promising a research project to reduce motorway noise.
Punctually as an election campaign aid for Lenz.
It is uncertain whether the improvements to maintenance tunnels will bring peace - both in terms of noise and arguments about it.
After all, it is a tiny step in the right direction.
However, there is little hope that the bottom line will be a significant relief for the people in Isental.
“All limit values complied with” - that is the knockout criterion.
No energy transition without solar power
There were also tiny steps in the right direction in Dorfen with the energy transition.
The city council has changed the zoning plan for a good seven hectares of open space photovoltaics.
The dissenting votes of the city councils from the land lists and the AfD show that they do not recognize the signs of the times.
Without a maximum of renewable energies, the world will slide into a climate catastrophe.
There is no reasonable counter-argument here.
Some of the properties are close to the autobahn, and the facilities are not there forever.
So the areas are not permanently withdrawn from agriculture, as is often claimed.
But when will the first large wind turbines take off into the sky here?
It is one of the more important tasks of state and federal politics to finally remove the barriers out of the way.
It will then be exciting to see how far-sighted or short-sighted city and local councils will decide on corresponding proposals.
