The Social Election Monitoring Office in the Russian capital, Moscow, announced the opening of the doors of 3,638 polling stations today to voters, on the second day of the Russian Duma elections.
A statement issued by the office and posted on its Telegram account stated that all 3,638 polling stations have been opened and are ready to receive voters.
For his part, the head of the office, Alexei Venediktov, said that the turnout of voters, including via the Internet, on the first day of the elections amounted to 23.07 percent in Moscow, adding, “About 7 percent of voters voted in the elections in person, while 16 percent of voters used the possibility of casting their votes via the Internet.” .
By decision of the Russian Central Election Commission, elections to the State Duma in Russia will be held from September 17 to 19, coinciding with regional and local elections. This year, online voting is held in Moscow and 6 other provinces.
