Radamel Falcao marked his return to Spanish soccer on Saturday, closing out an impressive 3-0 home win for his new team, Rayo Vallecano, over their Madrid neighbor Getafe in LaLiga.
The 35-year-old former Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, AS Monaco and Porto striker needed only 10 minutes to make a difference as he entered the second half.

The Colombian received a pass from Pathe Ciss and scored Rayo's third goal in the 81st minute, after Óscar Trejo put his team ahead with a penalty in the 9th minute and Ciss headed in in the 78th minute.
With this victory, Rayo adds seven points from five games, and leaves Getafe in the last place in the standings without any points, which increases the pressure on coach Míchel.
Falcao joined Rayo as a free agent earlier this month after being forced to leave Galatasaray due to the Turkish club's financial problems.

Falcao had scored 52 goals in LaLiga in two seasons with Atlético between 2011 and 2013 in which he also helped the Madrid team win the Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Copa del Rey.
