The approval of the district office for the construction of the urgently needed containers at the Erich-Kästner elementary and middle school in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn is still a long time coming.
Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn
- It was actually planned that the containers, which should alleviate the lack of space at the school, would be ready at the start of the new school year.
As Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) explained in the building and property committee, it is now about the designation of sufficient parking spaces.
There are no parking spaces
The problem: When the extension of the school was built years ago, enough parking spaces were proven, but not all of them were built.
The authority is now requesting this.
"We will be able to solve the problem," promised Konwitschny.
She assumes that the containers will be ready by the end of the first half of the school year, i.e. in February.
Because the town hall is firmly convinced that the district office will give the green light in the foreseeable future, the town hall chief has already let the committee vote on the award of construction works (for landscaping and drainage canal works).
The vote was unanimous in each case.
Criticism of the district office
Konwitschny announced that the municipal council will soon receive the order for the containers. Gudrun Hackl-Stoll criticized the position of the district office. The fact that because of a few parking spaces some students are expected to continue to be taught in the basement under the gym, found the parliamentary spokeswoman for the Greens, who also sits in the district council, impossible.
