For the first time in two centuries, France has recalled its ambassador to the United States.
The gesture is strong, commensurate with French anger, which cannot digest that its ally scuttled the juicy contract, which ensured the French industrial flagship Naval Groupe the construction of twelve Australian submarines.

An eventful and passionate story, because if France and the United States are not at their first spat, the two countries are historically very linked.
Some five hundred American towns and villages bear the name of La Fayette, who fought alongside the Americans during the War of Independence.
In the same way, one does not count any more the French streets with the names of presidents Wilson or Roosevelt.
Because if the United States acquired their freedom with the help of France, the latter kept hers in 1917 and 1944 thanks to American soldiers.
