The prize presentation ceremony of "Toilet Generation PT 2.0. Public Toilet Design Competition" was held today at the Zero Carbon Building of Kowloon Bay Construction Industry. Based on the concept of modular design, design plans were submitted for three public toilets of different scales and in different environments. The professional group had two rounds of competition. The judges initially selected the finalists and then asked them to submit detailed design plans to determine the ranking.

Among them, the team that won the first place in the professional group took the tube jelly as inspiration and designed a simple prefabricated module that can be flexibly combined to be suitable for different terrain environments, with a streamlined arc shape and a smooth mirror appearance, creating a completely new public toilet Image.

The runner-up and third-place teams used Go chessboard and garden layout as the main design theme, showing a different stereotyped image of public toilets in the past.

In his speech at the award ceremony, the Permanent Secretary for Food and Health stated that the contestants showed their talents in the competition. The design of the works is human-oriented and creative. It can not only apply new construction methods, but also integrate smart technology, which is beautiful, cost-effective and easy.
