After four of the six terrorists who escaped from Gilboa Prison were captured during the previous weekend, tonight (light for Sunday) the last two terrorists, Mandal Yaakov Anfiat and them as Mamji, were captured, ending the hunt that lasted almost two weeks.

Although the chase is over, the omission will continue to haunt the IPS, as the investigation into how they managed to escape and the line of failures will continue.

The two terrorists were arrested in the city of Jenin in northern Judea and Samaria, after the two fled to the Palestinian Authority.

According to Palestinian reports, during the arrest of the terrorists, IDF forces were operating in the city, but our forces were not harmed during the operation.

As mentioned, among the terrorists captured was a 35-year-old Mamji, a resident of the Jenin sub-district and an Islamic Jihad operative.

He was involved in planning the abduction and murder of 18-year-old Eliyahu Asheri from Itamar in 2006. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his involvement in the abduction, when he stopped and offered the boy a ride in his car and abducted him.

The other terrorist is Mendel Yaakov Anfiat, 26. A resident of the village will work in the northern West Bank and an Islamic Jihad operative.

He was arrested after throwing Molotov cocktails at an IDF force and has been imprisoned since 2019.

On the night between Saturday and Sunday, the terrorists Zakaria Zabeidi and Muhammad Arada were captured by a joint team of fighters from the YMCA and the Shin Bet, in the locality of Umm al-Ghanem on Mount Tabor. A citizen traveling in the field with an ATV saw people who looked suspicious to him. They asked him for a ride, but he said he could not because he was with an ATV. An hour later he met them again, which lit a red light on him, and he reported it to the police. At around 05:00, the scouts arrived at the truck parking lot in Umm al-Ghanem and saw Arda sleeping inside a truck and Zabeidi walking exhausted, lame and unarmed towards a lair that is about 15 meters from the truck. So the scouts jumped a force - that he had no choice but to handcuff the two wanted men, who did not resist.

A few hours earlier, Yaakov Kadri and Muhammad Arida, both Islamic Jihad operatives, had been captured near Nazareth. The terrorists were apprehended after arriving at a family home in Nazareth, knocking on its door and asking for food and assistance. Although the family members did not recognize the two, they refused to help them and called the police. After the family refused to help them, the two fled, and police forces began extensive patrols after them - with the help of dogs and helicopters, and they were apprehended about 45 minutes after the incident.
