The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection announced the sale of allocated quantities of sugar and tea per month to each family through the electronic card without registering a request for it, as of tomorrow, Sunday.
In a statement, which SANA received a copy of, the ministry explained that this measure comes with the aim of breaking the monopoly and promoting the concept of positive intervention, and that the sale will take place in the complexes of the Syrian Trade Corporation, its halls and its outlets.
According to the statement, the amount of sugar allocated per month for each card is 3 kilograms at a price of 2,200 pounds per kilo, tea is 400 grams at 7,200 pounds, and 600 grams at 10,800 pounds, indicating that the citizen can buy one item according to his needs.
