- Evi Huttenloher (CSU) is a playground advisor and is therefore also responsible for the outdoor meeting places for the elderly. She also raised the issue in the local council in order to raise public awareness. At that time, many young people would have liked a meeting point there on the field near the TSG sports home. Here you can chill, listen to music, bolt, play basketball, go to the skate park and ride a BMX. Without being disturbed - but also without disturbing residents. Because, as City Hall Office Manager Peter Eberlein said: “There is nothing around it.” That is why there is also no social control by adults when a few of the young visitors are too strict.

As Huttenloher reported, a bank was recently smashed with barriers stolen from the TSG site.

Construction yard employees are currently on site every day to pick up rubbish and, above all, fragments from willfully smashed bottles.

As Mayor Hans Seidl (CSU) confirmed, there is a criminal complaint from the municipality against two young people for "active damage to property".

The local council agreed to ask the educators at the youth center for help.

They should address the young people in a targeted manner.

It is even considered to close the place - if something does not improve soon.

However, Seidl fears that "insight and willingness to talk are extremely limited".

A blocking of the square consider youth officer Peter Aust (SPD) and Barbara Helmers (Greens) to be the wrong way.

This would punish the majority of responsible young people.

Huttenloher would also prefer not to have to take tough action - after all, the site is a nice meeting point and, according to a survey among the youth, they have even ordered new ramps for the skate track, which are to be installed soon.

It was also mentioned that one generally has to offer more for adolescents, such as youth rooms.

In addition, it should be checked in the town hall whether video surveillance would be permitted.
