Attempted murder in Yavne - Indictment filed against taxi driver in city:
Central District Attorney's Office today (Sunday) filed an indictment in the District Court against Ilan Danino of Yavne for attempted murder, after he tried to stab to death a man he suspected of sexually assaulting a minor he knew.
According to the indictment filed by attorney Eliram Galam, Danino, a 33-year-old taxi driver, arrived at a kiosk in the city of Yavne where the victim was staying, where he suspected he had sexually assaulted a minor. Pushed him with force and while making threats towards him until he got in and sat in the taxi.
Arriving at the parking lot, the two got out of the taxi, so Danino began stabbing the complainant with a knife in the upper body about 13 times in order to kill him.
The defendant then returned to the taxi and left the scene with the victim lying on the ground and basking in his blood.
Later, Danino changed his clothes, abandoned the taxi and asked his friend to drive him to Kiryat Shmona, where he planned to stay.
Simultaneously with the indictment, Adv. Galam submitted a request for detention until the end of the proceedings, in which it was stated that: "Against the background of an unsubstantiated hypothesis, Ilan Danino planned to bring about the death of a person. Fearlessly he led the victim from the kiosk towards a desolate parking lot from a man and there stabbed him cruelly several times with the intention of bringing about his death. Danino left the arena with the victim lying on the ground and basking in his blood. Only the resourcefulness of passers-by who called rescue forces and the victim's life was saved. "
