Police today (Sunday) requested an extension of the arrest of the fan who burst onto the lawn at the Colony Stadium.
Currently, the fan will remain in custody until tomorrow after rioting and cursing the police, and therefore also been removed from the detention extension hearing.
Earlier, the police said: "Yesterday, the Israeli police arrested a suspect who burst onto the lawn during a football game held at the Moshava Stadium in Petah Tikva and attacked players.
Meanwhile, following the red card issued yesterday to Eddie Gottlieb in the game between Hapoel Tel Aviv and Maccabi Petah Tikva, the chairman of the football leagues, Erez Kalfon, appealed to the referees' union to cancel the ruling immediately.

Hapoel Tel Aviv also believed this morning that the referees' union will decide to cancel the red card issued to Gottlieb, after a fan tried to attack him and in response he defended himself and dropped him. This morning (Sunday) the Reds petitioned the Supreme Court of the association but there they rejected the petition.
