Daniel Filmus maintained that he was surprised by his appointment as Minister of Science and Technology instead of Roberto Salvarezza, after the crisis that led to the defeat in the PASO, the confrontation between Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner and the changes in the Cabinet.

"I loved the proposal, I have to do it after a luxury minister like Salvarezza, so very enthusiastic and taking on a challenge with scientists and with people who have worked all this time to place science at the top of the priorities of the country, because it makes a State policy and the future ", expressed in FM Milenium.

The transfer of Filmus from secretary of the Malvinas, Antarctica and South Atlantic of the Argentine Foreign Ministry to the portfolio of Science and Technology was one of the most surprising changes, after the crisis in the Casa Rosada.

"

With the appointment the most surprised was me,

" he said.

And he added that the evaluation of the change was on behalf of the President.

"I also stated that it seemed like a good management and he told me that we must continue on the same path, but give it a

much more articulated

imprint

with the other ministries,

" he said.

At the same time, he spoke of the scientific contributions that can be made to the productive development of the country, based on the promotion of sanitary, environmental and social measures, in tune with the ministries of Economy and Productive Development.

Filmus also told the reasons why he accepted the offer of the head of state, to join the Cabinet after the hard setback in the primaries and highlighted the "enormous challenge" from a personal point of view.

"If we had succeeded, they would not have offered it to me. A change of Cabinet should have been in the head of the President after November perhaps," he said, referring to one of the issues that generated a short-circuit between the President and his vice president.

When asked about the untidiness of Foreign Minister Felipe Solá's departure, who will be replaced by Santiago Cafiero, he maintained that it is a "difficult" situation and highlighted his good management.

"It took me by surprise as it happens in these questions, whenever there are cabinet changes there are difficult questions both for those who have to leave and those who have to change their position, I will be hugging and accompanying him when I can see him," he said.
