The two successful drama series star in a large number of categories in the prestigious TV ceremony. They are joined by the comedy "Ted Lasso"

The drama series "The Crown" and "The Story of a Slave" and the comedy "Ted Lasso" lead the list of nominees for the 73rd Emmy Awards to be held tonight (Sunday) in Los Angeles.

Netflix's "Crown," which tells the story of what is happening in the British royal family led by Queen Elizabeth II, played by Oscar-winning nominee Olivia Coleman in 11 categories for her fourth season, which received significant attention around the plot of the shaky marriage of Regent Charles and Princess Diana and The reign of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, played by Gillian Anderson ("Bags in the Dark") during the 1980s.

"The Story of a Slave" is also nominated in 11 categories for its fourth season, which garnered much praise when it aired last spring after a two-year hiatus following the postponement of filming for the Corona, during which main protagonist John (Elizabeth Moss) managed to escape the Republic of Gilad and reunite with Her husband and youngest daughter are in Canada, while she still has an unresolved account with Gilad who is holding her eldest daughter.

"Ted Lasso" by streaming service Apple TV Plus, about an American football coach who moves to coach a failed football team in England, leads with 13 nominations in the comedy categories, which are considered the least competitive this year.

According to estimates, the main fight is against HBO Max's comedy "Hacks" about a teenage comedian who joins a young screenwriter with the goal of reviving the careers of both.

In the mini-series categories the battle is mostly between "Easton's Secrets" starring Kate Winslet and Netflix's big hit from last fall, "Queen Gambit", which comes tonight with a clear advantage after dominating the preliminary Emmy ceremonies last week with 9 wins in total.
