The Forestry and Fire Monitoring Platform of the General Authority for Remote Sensing announced that the indicators of the danger of the spread of fires indicate a slight increase in the indicators of the danger of fire for forest sites in northwest Syria, starting from today until next Tuesday.
Rosa Karmouqa, head of the platform at the commission, explained in a statement to the representative of SANA that the platform published an update to its bulletin showing a map of the fire risk of forest areas in northwest Syria for the period from today until next Tuesday, compared to what it was during the previous three days, and it shows the transition of some areas to being affected by high levels of risk. Garmouka indicated that the platform warned against any fire or smoke because our Mediterranean forests are still in the fire season, calling for reporting any fire as soon as it breaks out on the toll-free numbers 188 and 113, indicating that the preparation of maps is carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate of Meteorology.
Qarmouma commended the efforts of workers in the Forestry Directorate in all governorates and forest protection teams for their constant readiness and readiness to confront the fire despite the difficulties and rugged forest sites.
