Specifically, the executive is wondering how "
to adapt the rules, the health pass, perhaps others, to the local situation,
" said Gabriel Attal. The authorities remain cautious: if the health situation is improving in France, "
this virus, on several occasions, has surprised the whole world
", recalled the representative, for whom "
probably, the Covid has even more than one turn in his bag
”. A balance must therefore be found to “
[keep] tools which we have seen to have proved their worth
”, while adapting them to the situation of the territories. The central objective remains to avoid at all costs a re-containment or having to close again the cafes, restaurants or cinemas, hammered the spokesperson.
Gabriel Attal, however, did not give a specific threshold from which the rules would be adapted. He simply noted that the incidence rate was now less than 50, in many departments. A defense council will be held "
soon to work on this
", he added, "
probably next Wednesday
". The outright abolition of the health pass does not seem to be the preferred route, however, as the executive may prefer "to
keep this tool in [his] pocket
" in the event of an epidemic resumption in the weeks to come.
Satisfied with the improvement in terms of health, several representatives of the executive have put forward the track of a localized adaptation of the rules. Thursday, Emmanuel Macron said he was considering lifting "
certain constraints as soon as sanitary conditions allow [...] in areas where the virus circulates less quickly
". More specifically, the health pass could also be removed "
in the places where it is put, where the virus hardly circulates any more
". On Saturday, in an interview with
Le
Parisien
, the Minister of Health was for his part cautious, believing that it was "
still too early to relax the measures
". Corn "
If the situation continued to improve, we could gradually ease the restrictions, where the virus circulates the least first, then everywhere in the territory.
This reduction could include the health pass
, ”added Olivier Véran.

While 50 million French people have now received at least a first injection of the Covid-19 vaccine, the executive could therefore ease the pressure a little, in certain territories.
Expanded in early August, the health pass now seems globally accepted: on Saturday, 80,000 people demonstrated against this tool throughout France, according to the Ministry of the Interior, far from the peak of 237,000 participants recorded on August 7.
