An impressive achievement for the State of Israel in general and for the cyclist Itamar Einhorn who today (Sunday) won the last stage of the Slovakian Tour, the sprint stage and preceded the legendary rider, Peter Sagan.
The 23-year-old Einhorn is considered the first significant sprinter to grow up in Israel, became a professional in the Israel Cycling Academic Reserve Group 3 years ago and received his first full professional contract from Israel Startup Nation two years ago.
Despite his injury at the beginning of the year, Itamar got a chance in the Volta Espanya race and proves in a series of good results including the top 5 in the Grand Tour - which is a significant prospect for the future as well.
