A 25-year-old man, identified as Matías Oroño, was murdered this Saturday in Rosario while trying to acquire drugs.

According to relatives of the victim, as he did not have money to get the narcotics, he asked for them on credit.

The response was

five shots

, apparently by custodians of the seller, which caused his death.

The crime occurred at the intersection of Acevedo and Nazca, in the Stella Maris neighborhood, and the investigation into the causes of the incident was left in the hands of the prosecutor of the Painful Homicide Unit, Georgina Pairola, who ordered the survey of the crime scene , the removal of traces and the taking of testimonies from relatives and possible witnesses of the armed attack.

According to the newspaper

La Capital,

the sister of the deceased, named Arantxa, the young man

was an addict who was in rehabilitation

“He went out to look for drugs.

He had no money.

It was to be trusted.

He wasn't about getting high and getting dumped.

He came and stayed in the house.

It is seen that the seller did not want to trust him

, he called those who protect him and two arrived on motorcycles: 'You pay what you owe and stop fucking,' they told him, and they hit him five bullets, "said the woman.

In addition, he specified that Oroño "

ran injured for two blocks and fell in agony

" around the corner from his house, on Maradona Street, in the vicinity of the Ludueña stream.

"We took him to the HECA (Dr. Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital), but they couldn't do anything," he added.

Apparently, according to this and other testimonies from neighbors, whoever sold the drugs did not like the young man's request.

It was then that, according to those same versions, two people on a motorcycle appeared and executed Oroño with five 9-millimeter bullets, which hit him in the testicular and lumbar region, and in his left arm and leg.

"They shot Matías"

The dead young man's sister told the newspaper La Capital about the last moments of her brother alive.

“We heard the shots, but we didn't think something could have happened to him until the neighbors told us that they had shot Matías.

He

ran two blocks and fell around the corner from my house

.

We loaded it into a car.

We took him to the hospital.

But they could do nothing.

We arrived and after 15 minutes they told us that he was dead, ”he said.

The family and relatives also told that outlet that Oroño had played football until he was 20 years old in Renato Cesarini, an emblematic club in the city that has trained and promoted great players in our country, and that he currently worked at the Jockey Club.

Another victim of violence

According to Rosario media,

another death

occurred at the HECA this Saturday

, due to an attack with firearms

.

It was a 29-year-old man, identified as Franco Gabriel Rojas, who was admitted to intensive care at that health center on July 28.

His most important injuries as a result of the shots he received in a corner of the Modern Quarter, also in the west of Rosario, were concentrated in the thorax and neck.

The escalation of violence in Rosario caused the death of a dozen people, in the month of December alone, and a total of 158 deaths from murder since the beginning of this year.
