"I slipped when I got into the pool because the ladder was loose," says the pensioner from Lichtenfels (Upper Franconia).
Her leg was trapped between the pool and the ladder, "at the same time I fell backwards."

"Of course I contacted the tour guide, but when I arrived nobody picked me up," reports the 53-year-old. She was “seriously disappointed” by FTI Touristik. “In the end, the German embassy helped me to find my mother.” She was getting worse and worse in the clinic. “I hardly recognized her. The left leg was swollen blue and yellow and the face was ashen. I was very worried. ”Because the Egyptian doctors urgently advised an operation. "I decidedly refused because of the inadequate hygienic conditions on site," says Tanja N. The problem: her mother was not yet able to travel due to critical blood values. Astrid R. was only allowed to take the return flight days later, after further treatments. At your own risk …

“I look back on that time with horror,” says Astrid R. as she stands in front of Room 155 of the Munich Regional Court.
In the process, she demands 10,000 euros in compensation for pain and suffering from FTI Touristik and says: “I'm pissed off.” Because the tour operator rejects any responsibility: “There were several options” to join the pool, argued the FTI attorney.

Astrid R. has been walking on a stick since the accident, and the 74-year-old can no longer walk her dogs either.
“I am severely restricted,”
she says sadly. "Nothing has been the same since the fall in Egypt." The district court heard witnesses about the pool accident yesterday, but according to Judge Neumeier, their statements differed from the files. She wants to make a written decision on the case shortly.
