The cancellation comes in the midst of the crisis between the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom, which announced Wednesday a strategic partnership to counter China, "AUKUS" (initials of the three partner countries, Editor's note), including the supply US nuclear-powered submarines in Canberra, which effectively kicked the French out of the game.
Peter Ricketts, a former British national security adviser, confirmed to the Guardian that the meeting had been
"postponed to a later date".
