The Election Committee subsector elections will be held today (19th). Approximately 4,900 eligible voters can be found at the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition, Kowloon Park Stadium in Tsim Sha Tsui, Tuen Mun Town Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall and Tsuen Wan Alexandra Community Centre, as well as in Changsha Voting at the dedicated polling station of the Bay Police Station.

The police were ready to patrol and intercept suspicious persons. Chief Executive Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Director of the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau Zeng Guowei, Director of Police Siu Zeyi and Director of the Security Bureau Deng Bingqiang all visited the ticketing station.

Before voting at 9 am this morning, the police had deployed the police at various polling stations. Armed forces outside the Wan Chai Convention and Exhibition, Chief Executive Carrie Lam, when visiting the exhibition ticket booths in the morning, said that he agreed with the deployment, saying that there may still be "latent violent and rioters."

At 10 o'clock in the morning, the Commissioner of Police, Xiao Zeyi, accompanied by the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Zeng Guowei, toured the Kowloon Park ticket station. Both stayed for more than ten minutes before leaving, and then went to Sha Tin and Tun ticket stations to inspect. When asked whether it is necessary for the police to deploy 5000 police force, Xiao Zeyi did not respond to reporters' questions.

At about 3 pm, the Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung also inspected outside the ticketing station of Kowloon Park, but he stayed for a while and left, and then he went to the exhibition ticketing station to inspect.

At the ticketing station of Tuen Mun Town Hall, in addition to police officers stationed inside the station, there were also more than 30 uniformed and plainclothes police officers patrolling outside the station. The ticketing station was sparsely crowded and the process went smoothly without any emergencies.

As for the Tsuen Wan Alexandra Community Centre, the police are also deployed. There are police officers standing guard on the nearby streets and police cars are on guard. The atmosphere is calm.
