A California woman was arrested after allegedly dragging her 8-year-old daughter with the car when she tried to prevent

It all happened last Thursday after the woman, identified as Erin Garcia, 44, left her mother's house in Placentia, California, when she was still apparently intoxicated, according to city police in a press release. .

A man who was observing the situation decided to intervene and when Garcia stopped, he and the girl's grandmother tried to get the woman out of the car.
But she stepped on the gas and dragged the man for a short distance, before disappearing from the scene.
Before long, authorities, who responded to a call from the grandmother, found Garcia hiding behind some bushes in the backyard of the house.
When they saw her, they tried to stop her but she resisted and kicked them, although they finally took her away.
