What can the 9th art and watchmaking have in common? The sense of miniaturization, animation, timelessness… Above all, these two universes appeal to older children. Yet, in their respective histories, watches and comics hardly intersected. Admittedly, since 2003, Snoopy has been featured on the dials and cases of Omega's Speedmaster, but as NASA's lucky charm (the philosopher beagle became the emblem of the safety instructions for space missions after the tragedy of Apollo 1 in 1968). In another register, the Belgian house Ice Watch managed to forge a partnership with the Moulinsart foundation in 2018 and logically holds the monopoly of Tintin models. But even at Swatch, keen on original graphics, apart from a duo of Enki Bilal watches, few creations have been dedicated to comics.
