The completion rate of the main lines of electricity feeding the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad, Al-Sad Road and the camp has reached about 90 percent, while about 70 percent of the low-voltage networks feeding homes in these areas have been repaired.
Engineer Munir al-Qasim, assistant director of the Daraa Electricity Company, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the company’s workshops have been working for days on preparing the main paths of the medium tension and preparing the two cells of Daraa al-Balad and the hospital cell feeding the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and the road to the dam and the camp, noting that after 2:00 p.m. tension will be given to these The cells will be experimentally tested to test the networks, and if they are ready, the mentioned neighborhoods will be gradually fed with electricity.
He explained that the repair work included the damaged tension networks, the erection of columns and towers, and the repair of underground cables.
Al-Qasim pointed out that the company has mobilized all its workshops in all regions, as work continues until late hours on a daily basis in order to restore the electrical supply to the neighborhoods of Daraa Al-Balad, Al-Sad Road and the camp as soon as possible.
