Berlin - The fourth corona wave had visibly relaxed in the past few days, the RKI reported falling values.
The downward trend in the number of infections has stopped for the time being, but the important values will only rise slightly on Monday, September 20.
Corona in Germany: RKI reports slightly increasing incidence
After falling for six days in a row, the 7-day incidence has now increased slightly. The Robert Koch Institute
gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Monday morning at 71.0. For comparison: the previous day the value was 70.5, a week ago it was 81.9. The RKI stated the number of new infections reported within the past 24 hours as 3.736; a week ago, 5,511 people were officially newly infected with corona. The number of deaths across Germany has risen by a further 13, just a week ago the RKI had reported twelve deaths.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was last given by the RKI on Friday at 1.89 (previous day: 1.87).
A weekly or monthly comparison is not possible due to the high number of late registrations.
A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.
The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
Corona: RKI reports rising incidence - Spahn finds event rules "confusing"
Experts and politicians are still divided on how the corona virus will spread in the next few weeks and months. For Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn, however, some of the rules are currently "very confusing". So the CDU politician is for nationwide uniform rules for events. It is "once again very confusing that every federal state goes its own way," Spahn told the newspapers of the Funke media group. Accordingly, there are currently 16 different rules for concerts or events. Instead, Spahn advocated that all countries should agree on the 2G model as an option.
In more and more federal states, 2G option models are currently being introduced for companies in the cultural and service sectors. With 2G option models, restaurateurs and organizers can voluntarily restrict access to vaccinated and convalescent people. All customers who can only show a corona test may then not be admitted. In return, there are usually no mask and spacing rules.
