During the last day, a total of 6,456 newly verified corona patients were discovered, and from midnight last night until the current update, 1,990 patients were added to them.

The total number of patients now stands at 76,541 people in Israel - according to data from the Ministry of Health published today (Monday), as of 08:46.

From the publication of the previous data until the date of the current update, 13 people have been added to the number of people who died from corona in Israel, and a total of 120 people died last week (from last Sunday).

The total number of corona since its outbreak today stands at 7,541 people.

The current situation shows 3,084,656 vaccinated in the third dose, 5,587,006 vaccinated in the second dose, and 6,068,531 vaccinated in the first dose.

The condition of patients is difficult yesterday, according to age groups per 100,000:

• Those aged 60 and under: Unvaccinated - 7.4, Immunized without an impulse dose - 1.7, Immunized with an impulse dose - 0.6

Those

aged 60 and over: Unvaccinated - 185.8, Immunized without an impulse dose - 38.5, vaccinated with booster dose - 4.3.

126,731 people were diagnosed with the virus yesterday.

Today, on the eve of Sukkot, 49 corona patients are being treated at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, in two corona wards and in two intensive care units.

At the same time, diagnoses and admissions of corona patients in the biological screening continue.

Among the patients - two 40-year-olds connected to an Acmo machine, and like most critical patients in this wave - both are not vaccinated.

19 of the patients at Hadassah are in critical condition, 11 in severe condition receiving respiratory assistance, and the rest in moderate-mild condition.

"The vast majority of patients in a critical and difficult condition are not vaccinated," emphasizes Prof. Sigal Saviri, director of the Corona Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.

"The disease is rapidly deteriorating to the point of needing respiratory support or respiration among the unvaccinated, and I am sure that if only they had been vaccinated as required, they would not have gotten into such a difficult situation, especially the young ones among them."

Meanwhile, yesterday the Knesset's Education Committee discussed a temporary order restricting the activities of institutions that carry out educational activities, as part of special regulations for dealing with the corona virus.

Among other things, the responsibility of the teaching staff regarding the isolation of a student who did not present confirmation of a negative result in a rapid corona test was discussed.

Following this, government ministers yesterday approved the temporary order, and its implementation will begin after the Sukkot holiday.

The issue provokes strong opposition from Yaffa Ben-David, secretary general of the Teachers' Union, who participated in the hearing. In a letter she sent to teaching staff following the meeting, Ben-David threatened to appeal to the High Court if these regulations were approved.

"Principals and kindergarten teachers will not be selectors and will not confront the parents," she wrote, "Students will see the educators as threatening factors instead of protective factors.

"Equally serious is an installation whereby a student who has not presented a negative corona test and cannot go home, will be admitted to the educational institution, separated from the rest of the students and reported to parents who will pick him up. "Injury the student, embarrass him and cause emotional disturbances. Teaching staff are incapable of harming children."
