After the so-called Wiesn tapping in a restaurant near Munich, several young people clashed on Saturday.

A 23-year-old was hospitalized with dangerous stab wounds.

Straßlach-Dingharting

- At first it was a very peaceful “Oktoberfest tapping” in the Gasthof zum Wildpark in Straßlach. Wiesn host Thomas Roiderer from the Hackerzelt tapped. The weather was wonderful, the beer garden full, the people in traditional costumes were happy about the brass music. There were also two groups of teenagers and young adults among the celebrants. According to the police, the two groups initially clashed verbally around midnight after they had left the restaurant for reasons that were previously unknown. “The boys got into an argument in front of our beer garden,” Toni Roiderer, Thomas Roiderer's father, noticed. Eventually it turned into a scuffle. In the process, a 23-year-old from North Rhine-Westphalia was seriously injured by knife stabs in the neck and upper body.

Attempted killing at Wiesn tapping: More than ten strips on site

Witnesses alerted the police and the ambulance service, whereupon over ten patrols of the Munich police were sent to the site and immediately began investigating the situation.

The 23-year-old was taken care of by the ambulance service and then taken to a Munich hospital, where the injuries were surgically treated.

The young man is still in inpatient treatment, but his life is not in danger.

After stabbing in Straßlach: two young people arrested

Two young suspects (both 17 years old and resident in the Munich district) who had moved away from the crime scene were provisionally arrested in the vicinity of the crime scene. The police also found a knife nearby. Whether it is the murder weapon is still being clarified. At the request of the Munich I public prosecutor's office, the Munich District Court has now issued an arrest warrant for attempted manslaughter against one of the two suspects. No application for an arrest warrant was filed against the second suspect. Everyone involved was drunk. The investigation into the background of the dispute and the exact course of the crime has been taken over by the Munich homicide squad.
