The inter-ministerial exceptions committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Population Authority met yesterday (Sunday) and discussed requests for exemption from Corona recoverers from performing a PCR test before the flight to Israel.
This is in order to shorten the bureaucratic process before taking them to Israel.
The committee decided to approve an exemption from inspection for a person who will present to the airline abroad, prior to departure, a certificate of PCR examination, which has a positive result and indicates that it occurred in Corona during the period defined as follows:
• Recoveries that occurred in Israel during the last three months before the flight.
• The date of the test (sampling for the test) shall not be less than 11 days before the flight and shall not exceed 3 months.
• Presentation of the test result, is in addition to filling out an incoming passenger statement as required.
• A person who has fallen ill and is recovering in Israel and has a recovery certificate from the State of Israel (which is not based on a serological examination) will present it, provided that 3 months have not elapsed from the date of its receipt.
• Presenting test results other than PCR does not grant an exemption from pre-flight testing.
Also, the decision will take effect immediately.
As you may recall, to date recoverers who have flown to Israel have been required to submit an application form to the Exceptions Committee in advance in order to receive an exemption from a PCR test.
Now with the decision of the committee, it will no longer be necessary to submit individual requests for the exemption.
